Why does system come standard with 1 sensor? Q: Why does the system come standard with only one IBC sensor?
A: Our design objectives for the IS-IBC1® include minimized cost, ease of use and ease of maintenance. In order to get the required accuracy to maintain +/- 3mm (+/- 1/8 inch) from a single sensor we had to do the following:
1. Move the sensor with the sizing cage so the sensor is the same distance from the film, regardless of bubble size 2. Develop filtering technology (now patented) that allows removal of bubble flutter, air ring turbulence and transient heat pocket noise from the ultrasonic signal. This same filtering technology also ignores momentary losses in signal due to foreign objects that block the sensor beam (the operator's head, hand, etc).
Our objectives will give you the following benefits:
1. Easier installation since only one sensor needs to be mounted 2. Eliminates any possible obstruction zones for the operator 3. Provides consistent performance for wide range of blow up ratios 4. Allows size changes to be made in one simple step (just change the cage size)
