Nova Chemicals, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada recently purchased a full featured IS-IBC1® including Automatic Sizing Cage control and Remote Control Interface. The auto sizing cage control fully automates the bubble size process. The remote interface provides the operator with a single interface point for the entire blown film line.

Nova uses the line to test and demonstrate new formulations so they require flexibility and performance from the IBC system regardless of material melt strength issues. As described in our August 2002 newsletter, Nova has found the robust diagnostic features incorporated in the system to be particularly helpful in finding bubble stability and process problems.
